USA Casino Industry

The casino industry in the United States scored in revenue to 7.94 billion U.S. dollars during the third quarter of 2009, about 5.5% less than the same quarter last year. This was announced Frank Fahrenkopf Jr., president and CEO of industry group American Gaming Association.

According to Fahrenkopf, in fact, while economists believe the country is emerging from one of the worst recessions in its history, the crisis has hit some casinos and many of its customers. Fahrenkopf held that this thing needs to be stated very clearly for the industry of gambling. Certainly “was the busiest year that the gambling industry has faced.”

Fahrenkopf said these words during the Global Gaming Expo, a conference at the top of this industry which was held in Las Vegas. In the face of economic crisis, it was noted a decrease in both the sponsors who have sponsored this event and the number of viewers. The actual data is not yet available but estimates speak of about 25,000 people, compared with 26,500 last year.

The course aims both American casino in Las Vegas, where during the first nine months of 2009, the gambling industry has lost 27.1% over the same period last year. Fahrenkopf said that there is optimism among industry leaders, although there are no precise estimates about the future.

We’ll see how it will be the year 2010 for the online casino USA industry. Surely, in addition to the spectrum of economic crisis, we must also fight what comes directly from virtual casinos, which are certainly the main contender for the real casino, especially given the fact that casinos are practically the same online casino games and real there is the advantage of playing 24 hours on 24 and directly from home.
